Denise Lèbre


I was born in Mexico City and moved to the United States, where I studied Theatre Arts – Broadcasting and News writing. I’ve been so lucky as to had work on theatre, television, and radio.

I became a member of AFTRA and SAG in 1988 when I was cast as the Spanish voice of “Lucky Charms” for General Mills, and since then I have appeared in and voice hundreds of commercials for TV and radio.

I have voice audio projects from narrations – business presentations and inter-active educational for e-learning, to toys voices, cartoon’s characterizations and dubbing – ADR (automatic dialog replacement).

Currently dubbing the voice in Spanish of Addison Shepard as played by Kate Walsh in the ABC series “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” the voice in Spanish of Amanda (Becki Newton) in “Ugly Betty” and Natalia in CSI Miami, last season I dubbed Libby in the series “Lost”. These shows air simultaneously in English and Spanish thru SAP (secondary audio programming).

Voice Characterizations & Cartoons

I’d been the voice of “Barbie” for Mattel toys -“Babe” for Leap Frog – Daria for MTV en Español – I’ve worked on the series Little Lulu - SandyBell - Maya the Bee – The Wild Thornberry’s - Casper - King Arthur - Don Quixote - Swan Princess – GI Joe and Xena of the jungle.

For 5 years I was co-owner and director of castings and ADR for The Language Connection in Laguna Beach, an agency providing written translations, simultaneous interpreters and voice over talent in all languages as well as private language instruction. Among our clients were Mattel Toys, Howard Hughes Aircrafts, Heil Brice Advertising, El Torito and The Laguna Conservancy.

For the past 10 years I’ve been the host of the radio program “La Hora Brasileña”, an international radio show in Spanish presenting Brazilian music and talking about brazilian culture and life style. The show airs in 12 Latin American countries, in about 34 radio stations, sponsored by The Brazilian Consulate of Los Angeles and produced by Sergio Mielnizcenco of Global Village at 90.7 FM – You can listen to “la Hora Brasileña” on line at www.lahorabrasileñ

I was also the Spanish host of “World Hit Radio” an Internet international radio show featuring top hits worldwide with Shadow Stevens, and the morning drive news anchor for “Radio Noticias 930” a 24 hrs. all news station.

In the 90’s I was Spanish Programming Announcer for KVEA - TNT and FOX Latin America. During sweeps I also recorded the Spanish promos for CBS - ABC – KCET & Bravo.
